Is my child at grade level?

Whether your child is enrolled in a traditional school or a homeschool we know that this school year has been different. It is important to be able to evaluate whether your child is performing at grade level or not especially in mathematics. Math topics overlap from one year to the other, making it that much more important to catch lapses in knowledge as soon as possible. Most of the time a parents intuition on whether their child is at grade level or below is accurate. We tried to certain behaviors that might alert you that your child is not at grade level.

Things to Look For:

• Reluctance to share information about a class
• Providing excuses as to why the subject is not liked.

It is important to stay consistent with your approach. If you see your child is below grade level, that is not the end of the world, everyone gets some form of academic adversity along the way.
